Welcome to fourth grade! We are excited to start a new year with you. We will be learning all about North Carolina, animals, rocks and minerals, and we'll be doing lots of wonderful writing. We'll be building our reading stamina and comprehension skills and learning many new math skills.
Tracks 1,2 & 3 are self contained classrooms. Track 4 teachers are a team; Mrs. Bradley teaches English Language Arts and Ms. Parent teaches Math, Science and Social Studies to all of the track 4 students
We have a block in the middle of the day where we participate in specials, have recess and eat lunch.
All 4th grades have the same schedule with lunch at 1:45.
Fourth Grade is a transition to independence and responsibility grade. We have provided support for your child to become more independent and self sufficient. While it might be a challenge for them at the beginning of the year, as they become more successful and self reliant you will see them take more risks, be more self motivated and also very proud ! Please encourage your child to self advocate and allow them to experience failure if necessary while we have them in a loving supportive environment.
Work together with your child's teacher - we are both on the same team... your child's.
